On top of a hill at the easternmost bay of Saint Barths there is a model airplane runway – an unexpected picnic spot with a great view. It’s off the Route de l’Atlantique between Anse Toiny and Anse du Petit Cul-de-Sac and sits along a pleasant walking loop around the eastern tip of the island. Best on a windless day – it’s exposed up there.
