Picnicking is very popular in Guadeloupe, so the carbets (picnic shelters) in the public ‘aires de pique-nique’ are readily taken by families on weekends. Some of these picnic areas are alongside the beach called Plage de Souffrière, between the town of Port-Louis and the Marine Cemetery. Of course, you can always spread your blanket on any of the splendid beaches around Guadeloupe.
