The Temple of Apollo in Didyma, Didim, Aegean Turkey

Chances are you’ve heard of the Oracle of Delphi, but what about the one at Didyma? The real beauty of this site — with its enormous, unfinished temple — can only be discovered from the inside, where the prophetess delivered her oracles. The site underwent extensive renovation in 2025 and security cameras were installed. Let’s hope that picnics in quiet corners are still permitted — otherwise there are restaurants and cafés just outside.
