Life
without traveling:

living in monochrome

Staying within your comfort zone
at home
a familiar black and white photograph

Life with Traveling:

a disorienting explosion of vivid colors
a silent burst of unexpected flavors
a roaring murmur of liminal sounds
a savage bloom of velvet touches
a gut-punching hush of intoxicating smells

Snapshots on the Move

All photographs were shot on an iPhone while traveling. Taking pictures is essentially a means to create memories for a spaghetti-brained individual like me — always on the move, I would forget so much otherwise. Some photos could be far better if I’d stopped to find the perfect angle, or waited for a car or cloud to pass. But traveling with someone who keeps moving at full speed has certainly taught me to stop chasing perfectionism — and to see more.

COLOR matters
You guide me, excite me or calm me
define me, protect or distract me
you are surprising and complex, never boring
are the cat’s striped PJs and the bee’s knees

Yet BLACK & WHITE — you may free me
of constraints and chaos, time and taste
adding drama and simplicity
with no hue to waste

But what’s lurking behind your duality?
My imagination entwined
yet freed by the diametric
pull
of two lovers with no colors to align

What sparks my curiosity, black & white?
It’s hard to define, but sometimes
you’re right
